Professional, Honest, Caring & Attentive to detail... What else could you ask for in a Home Inspector? Stephen checked all those marks and completely surpassed our expectations. He was able to squeeze us into his busy schedule during this crazy hot real-estate market in Florida and made everything so smooth and streamlined (with us purchasing our home remotely from Texas). He kept us aware of the entire process and was a pleasure to work with.The inspection report came back super quickly and was very detailed; it included photos, recommendations, life expectancies and so much more information. Thanks to his detailed reports, the home sellers had to make some last minute repairs to the house that helped ensured our family resided in a safe home before we moved in. We were also able to save a few hundred dollars on our homeowners insurance because of the Windstorm Mitigation report he suggested. He recommended us a local company to do a termite inspection and took care of setting up the appointment with them to coordinate with his inspection date and time he had already set up with the sellers to avoid too much disruption on them (made sure both parties were happy at all times, us and the sellers) which can sometimes be hard to achieve.We couldn't be more happy with an Inspector and Inspection company like Steven & Whitt Inspections. They have gone above and beyond and we will surely recommend them to everyone we know. Best decision we ever made in our home purchasing process, as we now have true peace of mind for years to come. Two words: Life-Saver. As a realtor, I can honestly say Stephen (Whitt Inspections) is one of thee most kind, honest and incredible people I have worked with in this industry. Truly. I have worked with dozens and dozens of inspectors over the years and he genuinely cares about the people he works with. My clients love him and...I too, have used Whitt Inspections for my own personal home purchase. Stephen goes above and beyond. He takes the time to explain to clients (myself included) what the issues are, what needs to be addressed without Catastrophizing the problem by explaining it in laymen's terms. Stephen returns calls, emails, and text messages very quickly and is excellent at working with other parties involved in the real estate transaction to expedite and/or clarify issues that need to be worked out. I have worked with big name inspection companies and even smaller companies and I have yet to get the service I received with Whitt Inspections. I have experienced nightmare stories where inspectors would not return to the property after an initial inspection to clear repairs for insurance/loan approval and clients miss their deadline and lose their loan rate and one client also lost the home purchase. Deadlines are critical in real estate and having Stephen assist with my own home purchase (with very tight timelines) he went above and beyond to make sure he helped get us to the finish line.I very rarely take the time to write such an extensive review but in this circumstance I want those reading this to know how incredibly happy I am for having recommended (and used) Whitt Inspections for multiple real estate transaction.
